| Subject: Chapter 3: Discussion Standard Format (Apply to ALL DISCUSSION BOARDS) Mon Jul 25, 2016 2:01 am | |
| Whenever you would like to start a new post in any discussion board, it is important that you do use our standard format! However, this standard format DOES NOT apply to 'Knowledge Seminars' and 'The Knowledge Exchange'. You need to include the following details at the beginning of your message body.
- Date: The date when your discussion posts.
- Discussion Type: Is it informal discussion, formal discussion or both?
- Discussion Subject: Which discussion broad are you posting your discussion posts?
- Discussion Topic: That'll be the post title you decide for your discussion post
- Discussion Leader: Your username
- Discussion Leader's Contact Details: a link to your visitor messages and/or private message is fine, no further contact detail is needed.
- Code: The code is generated from the date of your discussion, discussion subject and your membership ID number.
Importance:
- Remember to add a hashtag (#) before you enter your discussion code. The use of code helps us to locate your discussion post easily when you or other members have reported any problems about your discussion posts.
- All ID number starts with a letter 'u', you can confirm your ID number through two simple methods: contact the secretary or click 'Member' at the top of the webpage.
- Discussion subject for generating your discussion code:
Social Science = ss Law and Politics = lw Help and Contact = hc Current Affairs = ca Anime and Manga = am Notice Board = nb Conference Board = cb
- You will not need this standard format when you are replying any discussion posts, unless the discussion leader requires you to do so.
